Transforming Challenges Into Growth Opportunities

I love to connect with people by meeting them where they are. I am naturally curious about what makes each person unique, and I approach every interaction with warmth, respect, and a genuine desire to understand. People often remember me for being insightful and grounded and for my ability to help them feel safe while exploring deeper, more meaningful parts of their lives. A little humor can go a long way in making therapy feel less intimidating helping clients feel more comfortable and open. These qualities shape my work as a therapist and allow me to create a space where growth feels achievable and empowering.

My Background

Becoming a therapist felt like a natural path for me. I’ve always been drawn to understanding others and offering support during difficult times. Through my education in psychology and counseling, I discovered a passion for creating a safe space where people can grow, heal, and feel empowered. Walking alongside my clients in their journeys is an honor, and I can’t imagine doing anything else.

I work with individuals of all ages and focus on what matters most to them. I draw from a blend of theories, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), polyvagal theory, and person-centered therapy, to guide my approach. I have experience supporting clients through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, and life transitions. I especially enjoy helping children and adolescents find their voice, process their experiences, and develop tools to navigate life confidently. I provide adults with a supportive and collaborative space to work through life’s complexities and challenges. Together, we aim to create meaningful progress and lasting change by building on individual strengths and promoting emotional regulation and resilience.

My Philosophy for Therapy

My counseling philosophy is built on forming genuine connections where clients feel valued, supported, and understood. I approach each person with empathy, respect, and a willingness to share in both the serious and lighter moments. My Christian faith inspires me to extend grace, compassion, and hope, and I believe that laughter, when appropriate, can be a powerful tool for connection and healing. Just as my faith calls me to love and serve others, I aim to foster an environment where growth feels achievable, and joy can flourish even in the midst of challenges. Authenticity, kindness, and continual growth guide my work and my life.

“What lies behind us and
what lies before us
are tiny matters
compared to what lies within us.”

– Ralph Waldo Emerson

My practice stands out because I prioritize real conversations and authentic connections. Life doesn’t always follow a neat, predictable path, and therapy shouldn’t feel rigid or impersonal. I approach our work together as a partnership, valuing each person’s unique story and perspective. Whether we’re addressing everyday stress or navigating deeper challenges, I focus on helping you develop practical tools that are relevant to your life. My goal is to support you in a way that aligns with who you are, not who I think you should be.

Why I Am A Therapist

Having faced my own mental and emotional struggles, I truly understand how they can impact every aspect of life. These personal experiences have influenced how I approach therapy, fueling my passion for providing compassionate and individualized support. I believe that healing is a journey best traveled together, where we can work to uncover strengths, develop new perspectives, and move forward.

I Aim To Empower You to Make Lasting, Positive Changes.

I have previously worked with a nonprofit that supported foster children. During my time there, I had the opportunity to engage with a cause and population that  I’m passionate about, gaining valuable experience in supporting vulnerable populations. This work has shaped my approach to therapy and deepened my commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Outside of work, my dog Honey is the center of my world. She has a lovely way of reminding me to slow down and appreciate the little moments. I’m also grateful for my family and friends, who bring so much laughter, support, and perspective to my world. They’re my constant source of joy and balance. When I’m not with them or spending time spoiling Honey, I enjoy going to concerts or seeing Broadway shows.
